X-rays are the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. It uses ionized radiation and allows visibility for several areas of the body.

Some x-ray exams are simple, and others may use an iodine-based contrast material depending on the area to be examined. Currently at Corominas y Castillo, we use totally digital systems where image is immediately obtained and printed on the plate without using any kind of additional chemicals.

Also, we permanently use digital systems and send images electronically in order to reduce result delivery times and avoid contamination.
